Welcome to Mountain View Church

We're glad you found us and hope to see you this Sunday!

What Makes Mountain View Different

Looking for a church home can be quite a challenge, but we want to help by answering some of the most popular questions…

What does this church believe?

Mountain View exists to connect with God and with each other in Thurston County and Beyond – through intentional relationships. Our priorities are:

  • Reconciling people to God.
  • Growing Disciples who grow Disciples.
  • Providing real solutions to real problems.
  • Serving each other and our community.

We believe God is the Creator and Ruler of the universe and has eternally existed in the personalities–Father, Son and Holy Spirit–who are co-equal and are one God. We believe the Bible is God’s Word to us, is inspired by God and contains all truth necessary to live the Christian life. We believe people are made in the spiritual image of God and have potential for good, but all of us are marred by an attitude of disobedience toward God called “sin.” This sin separates us from God and causes many problems in life. We believe Jesus Christ came to earth to live a perfect life and died on the cross to take away our sin and restore our relationship with God. The moment we trust in Jesus Christ redeeming us from sin through his death on the cross, we are restored in our relationship with God. We believe people were created to exist forever, either eternally separated from God by sin, or eternally with God through forgiveness and salvation from sin. Heaven and Hell are real places of eternal existence.

Take a look at About Us for more detailed information about what we believe.

Mountain View is affiliated with the Church of the Nazarene, which is built upon five historical foundations: Classical Christianity; Protestantism; Armenian Thought; Wesleyan Practical Theology; and 1908: Pilot Pont, Texas.

Where are you located?

Mountain View Church is located on Israel Road in Tumwater, Washington. Our campus sits on the east side of I-5, between the Interstate and Tumwater High School. A map and directions are available on our Contact Us page.

When are the services?

We have two services every Sunday, at 9:00 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. Both services have the same worship and teaching. Numerous small groups meet throughout the week to learn more about our faith and support one another in smaller, more intimate relationships.

What other programs or ministries are offered?

There are many active programs at Mountain View. See our Ministries page for a summary and links to more information about each ministry.
