Discovering Church Membership

Membership classes are scheduled periodically throughout the year and are held after church on Sundays. To find out when our next class is scheduled, or to sign up for this informational class, fill out a Staying Connected card on Sunday morning or contact the church office at 360-943-0795. Limited childcare is available for kids age infant through 3 years old. A light meal will be served.

Class Outline

Part One: What We Believe

We will introduce the articles of faith from the Church of the Nazarene and our core values as a local church.

Part Two: What We Do

We share our views about what sacramental life is in the Church of the Nazarene. Specifically, we will discuss the sacraments of Christian baptism and the Eucharist also known as the Communion and the Lord’s Supper.

Part Three: Where We Came From

We introduce participants to the formation of the Church of the Nazarene sharing significant features that helped shape our identity. We will illustrate the rich heritage and tradition that that is the Church of the Nazarene and particularly, Mountain View Church of the Nazarene, both part of a global movement and well-connected support system.

Part Four: Who We Are

Get to know more detail about Mountain View Church of the Nazarene. We will detail how we participate in our local community. We will share more information about the administrative and organizational function of our church and some of the many ways to get connected to our church family!
