Nursery
Available during the 9:00 and 10:45 a.m. Sunday morning services
0-2 years: Little Bug Landing and Inchworm Island
Our nursery is where the littlest ones (0-2 years) at Mountain View come to pray, praise, and play! We welcome your child during both Sunday morning services, so buzz on in and join the fun! Little Bug Landing and Inchworm Island are located in the administration wing, down the far hall.
Preschool Programs
Available during the 9:00 and 10:45 a.m. Sunday morning services
2 years old: Sunshine Bay
This cheerful place is set up with fun toys, music, and bible stories especially for our 2 year olds. During both Sunday morning services we have a great time learning about God and how He loves us. Sunshine Bay is located in the foyer adjacent to the sanctuary. [show map]
3 years old: Noah’s Ark Park
This class provides a foundation for children 3 years old (by Aug 31) to know God and begin to have a relationship with Him. Using the Bible as the foundation for each lesson, children learn wonderful truths about God’s love. These truths are presented through object lessons, puppets, crafts, and activities. The Park is located in the Family Center.
4 years old: Critter Land
Critter Land’s curriculum continues to introduce God to our 4 year olds (as of Aug 31). Using the Bible as the basis for teaching each lesson, children begin to learn what it is to be in relationship with God, our Father. These truths are presented through object lessons, puppets, crafts and activities. You can find Critter Land in the Family Center.
Elementary Programs
Available during the 9:00 and 10:45 a.m. Sunday morning services
Kindergarten – 5th graders: CrossWalk
Kindergarten – 5th graders get together to focus on the basics of prayer and worship, time in God’s Word, and paying close attention to God’s will. Children will experience a new Bible story and scripture study each week through fun and meaningful activities. They will practice applying God’s truth to everyday life. This will include practice in using the Bible, so please encourage students to bring their Bibles to class each Sunday. The learning never stops! Look for us in the Children’s Ministry wing.
Children’s Ministry Staff
Becky Hilt, Children’s Ministry Administrator
Becky completed her MBA while in the United States Air Force. She is responsible for administration within Children’s Ministry. Becky’s service to God often finds her near Children, because they are a source of joy.
Jody Giuntoli, Nursery Director
Jody graduated from Covenant College PCA, with a BA in Interdisciplinary Studies of Early Education, Sociology and Youth Ministry. After graduation, this Georgia Peach married a Washington apple, completing their fruit bowl with three children. She has been a preschool teacher, art teacher, youth director, and a manager for Starbucks. Jody is enthusiastic about serving the Church body in an area of growth and excitement!
Sheila Chapman, Preschool Director
Sheila’s education and work experience includes junior college and 13 years as an Accountant/Office Manager for a CPA. She has served in Children’s Ministry, Teens and Celebrate Recovery here at Mountain View. Sheila is very passionate about what she does and has a real love for the Lord. She loves to see children smile and to teach them about God.
Robyn Groat, CrossWalk Director
Robyn has been a member of the team since 2006. She has both a B.S. and an M.S. in education with a specialty in handicapped learners. After teaching for several years, Robyn stepped away from teaching to stay at home and raise her two sons. She enjoys getting to know children and their families.
Kelly Bogart, Children’s Ministry Worship Director
Kelly has been on staff in a variety of ministries since 2001. In her “younger” years, Kelly taught preschool at a local Christian school. In addition to spending time with children and teaching piano, Kelly enjoys digital scrapbooking, cooking, and hanging out with her boys (Torey and Wilson), and her daughter (Paige).
